Manage all clinical and operational aspects of a multi-specialty, multi-location Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC). Create, apply, and administer individual and departmental goals. Counsel, guide, and support front/back office staff, managers, and medical professionals to achieve targeted objectives of high quality care and safety for patients, satisfaction not only for patients but also for employees, and financial stability.
• Oversee $6.4 million annual budget, 70 employees, and more than 32,000 patient visits per year.
• Ensure all standards for certification, licensure and regulatory compliance are met.
• Direct all clinical and operational functions of Centers, providing comprehensive primary care for indigent patients, as well as those covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance, thereby reducing the number of visits to hospital emergency rooms.
• Applied practices of quality process improvement in ordering medical supplies and equipment, negotiating prices with vendors, that resulted in a year-over-year decrease in facility expenses totaling 35%.
• Created and implemented a performance improvement plan and successfully guided the organization through the Joint Commission accreditation process. Full 36-month accreditation received.
