Developed a business plan for a search aggregator internet site in the commercial equipment space and presented it to venture capital groups receiving multiple term sheets and $3.4M funding from Spire Capital.
• Led all aspects of the business and presented strategy and progress to the Board of Directors on a monthly basis.
• Developed an SEO/SEM, email, PPC, PR and advertizing marketing campaign and hired and managed a marketing team that implemented and managed the plan growing traffic to over 60K visits/month.
• Hired and managed a field and in-house sales team closing lead generation business with Caterpillar, Case, Randall Reilly, Penton Media, IronPlanet, Ritchie Brothers and many other companies.
• Developed a pricing, industry market trends and after-market visibility SaaS data product for the insurance, finance and manufacturing communities and developed business with Allianz, Hanover, Wells Fargo and Caterpillar.
• Sold the business to AssetNation for over 2X invested capital and then sold the business to Ritchie Brothers (the largest commercial asset auction site) for $64M managing all aspects of the due diligence and integration.
Vice President and GM Strategy & Business Development, Retail

Developed a Direct-to-Retail strategy and launched the business providing end to end services and product design/delivery capabilities for Android tablets, mobile phones, consumer products and accessories.
• Responsible for developing sales, marketing and product roadmap collateral and developing all sales leads.
• Generated and closed design, manufacturing and delivery outsourcing driving expansion of a new $500M dollar channel with Best Buy, Wal-Mart, AT&T, Amazon and other retail/e-tail channels.

• General Manager for Dell account responsible for the P&L while developing business with other high potential accounts including Wistron, MSI, and Wal-Mart resulting in 7x account growth from $100M to over $700M.
• Developed Flextronicss product design (ODM) and retail/direct delivery processes and capabilities and was one of the key integration leaders of 3 major acquisitions and 2 alliance partnerships.
• Built a team of 25 Global Account Managers, Design Engineers, Program Managers, Global Quality Managers & FAEs, Customer Service/Logistics and Materials personnel to support the US, Europe, Asia and Brazil.

Dell Supply Chain Services/OEM
• Launched a supply chain services and OEM BPO business to commercialize Dells design, procurement and supply chain management capabilities by designing and building enterprise products for other companies leading to over $300M in revenue in the OEM and Data Center businesses.
• Built an organization, developed the marketing and sales collateral and created business leads with corporate partners including Microsoft, Diebold, NCR, SonicWALL, Google and other companies.
Senior Manager, New Business Development, Handhelds
• Investigated and launched multiple handheld businesses including PDAs, MP3s and smartphones delivering revenue and margin growth contributing over $450M in revenue. Received a Global Excellence award.
• Managed the PDA, MP3 and Smartphone Procurement, Operations and Software teams in the US, Taiwan and China and grew the PDA business to achieve the #1 market share position in the US.
• Negotiated over $20M of funding capital to launch the PDA, MP3 and Smart phone businesses from Intel, Microsoft, T-Mobile, AT&T, TI, Creative Labs and Lite-On.

• Managed the Notebook and Desktop Software and Services Procurement and Operations team of up to 15 personnel for security, CD/DVD burn & play, music streaming, photo software, VOIP and services.
• Drove a lead generation software model contributing over $60M per year in margin and licensing savings.

• Set-up a Mexico and Asian based supply chain and managed all aspects including cost, continuity of supply and quality working with CMs including SCI, Solectron, Celestica, Flextronics and SMTC avoiding a projected $100M loss to revenue for servers. • Managed the Notebook Supply Chain Management department of up to 20 personnel globally and directed cross-functional teams including senior-level global commodity mangers, SQEs, regional buyers/planners.
• Setup a global supply chain for the first Dell-built notebook computers with companies including Jabil, Nypro, Acer, & SPM and negotiated ODM supplier relationships and contracts with suppliers including Compal and Quanta for improved costs and conditions saving over $100M/year. Received a WWP Excellence Award.
New Product Operations and Design for Manufacturing Manager
• Managed the Worldwide Notebook New Products Ops department consisting of over 20 PM, NPO, SQE, DFX Engineers and Process Engineers that led the design, development and manufacturing of notebook computers.
• Led the team to implement process and design improvements in the Dell factories and with notebook ODM suppliers including Sony, Quanta and Compal with onsite assignments in Asia. Received a Directors Award.
Manufacturing Engineering Manager
• Designed and set-up Dells notebook and desktop manufacturing facilities and logistics centers globally using lean manufacturing, continuous flow and cellular techniques. Received a Circle of Excellence Award.
