Assistant Store Manager at Bloomington

dELiA*s currently has an Assistant Store Manager opportunity available in Mall of America!

An ASM will support the Store Sales Manager in the successful operation of the store.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with Store Management to ensure the store meets or exceeds performance metrics and customer expectations through setting a consistent example of outstanding service and interaction on the sales floor

Embrace, practice and lead selling strategies

Maintain productivity standards through personal selling and Associate coaching

Ensure customer transactions are handled in a fast, friendly and efficient manner

Partner with Store Management to recruit and attract candidates

Assist in the training, development and supervision of Associates and provide performance feedback

Ensure all areas of the sore are neat, clean and organized and operational

Work with Store Management to make necessary scheduling adjustments

Partner with Store Management to maintain acceptable inventory shrinkage

Ensure Loss Prevention policies are followed and report suspected or known theft to supervisor, LPI or Hotline

Open and close the store in the absence of Store Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

6-12 months retail store supervisory experience

Prior mall-based junior apparel retail experience preferred; must relate to brand identity

High School graduate or equivalent

Professional written and oral communication
