Responsible for:Installation, service and maintenance of telephone systems in governmental facilities. Qualified candidate should be able to identify software/hardware problems, troubleshoot T-1 problems, and be able to work with vendors toward resolution. Must be on call 24/7 and must be able to obtain and maintain all security clearances that are required to gain access to the facilities that are assigned to you.
Requirements:
Telephone and computer experience (5 years) including but not limited to: pulling cable (Cat3 & Cat5), terminations (110, 66, Krone, RJ11 & RJ45) up to 100 pair cables and troubleshooting wiring / T1 / CO dial tone problems and computer repairs (drive, card, board, memory replacements and troubleshooting of hardware as well as OS problems).Low voltage certification / license (PLT).Working knowledge of wiring infrastructure and able to install services and equipment as outlined on specs.Must pass internal certification tests within first 30 days of employmentExcellent multi-tasker and well-organized (administrative work including expenses and time sheets)Test equipment (VOM, Sidekick, TBIRD, etc.)Experience working with MS-Windows based servers and workstations including Microsoft Office Suite (2 years).Professional response and excellent customer service skills; attention to detail and adherence to security/safety standards at all times.Must be able to squat, climb, bend, sit for prolonged periods and must be able to life 50 pounds.High School Diploma or equivalent; must be able to obtain and maintain all required facility security clearances (10 year background check). Excellent driving record (minimum three years). Further technical education and/or training preferred. Strong communication skills (able to communicate fluently, written and verbal, in English) for working with other technicians and management.We offer an excellent benefits package and salary (to $35k to $40k) based on your experience.
