Distribution Supervisor

Doherty Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a Distribution Supervisor to work at a client of ours located in St. Cloud, MN. The position is seasonal, set to last through the end of the year.Summary:The ideal candidate will provide hands-on work direction to departmental employees to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders.  Candidate will set priorities, review work standards and implement methods to enhance workflow as well as identify problems and expedite solutions to ensure optimum productivity.  Candidate will also review employee job performance and adherence to policy providing feedback and coaching as required.  Will monitor and maintain staffing levels in accordance with approved manpower plan and develop a well trained and highly motivate staff to assure efficient operation.  May participate in special projects or assignments to support long and short-range goals for the site.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1.  Manage daily operations with the Warehouse Operation as assigned to ensure timely, cost effective, production processing.
2.  Lead operational process improvement initiatives.
3.  Develop and implement production tracking and WMS (HighJump) reporting tools.
4.  Assist in the testing and implementation of WMS improvements.
5.  Develop 3PL order processing plan for their area of responsibility and continue to evolve this key business opportunities.
6.  Ensure compliance with Union Contract.
7.  Develop training strategies to ensure a high degree of ownership and ease of operations.1st and 2nd Shifts are available!
During the months of October-December there will be mandatory overtime before and after the regular shift hours, as well as on the weekends. 2.  2-4 years prior experience in a leadership capacity with similar working environment or a combination of seasonal developmental position with other related experience.
3.  Experience in a logistics environment utilizing WMS and RF technology.
4.  Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, WMS (HighJump), and RF Technologies.
5.  Forklift and material handling equipment skills/experience required.
6.  Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills are essential.
7.  Demonstrated high level of initiative is necessary.
8.  Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills required.
9.  Must comprehend and apply complex information.
10.  Prior experience developing and adhering to departmental budgets preferred.
11.  Previous PC experience utilizing word processing and spreadsheet software required. 
12.  Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
13.  Must  work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
14.  Is responsible for conducting oral presentations.
15.  Willingness to work extended hours as the business requirements dictate.
