Associate Product Manager - Medical Devices

We have been engaged by our client to recruit their Associate Product Manager. Our client is a medical device company based in the Twin Cities. This position is focused on the commercialization end of the product management spectrum in the vascular business. This individual will spend time in the field working with the sales organization and physicians to gather new ideas and approaches to selling highly competitive product lines.  This individual will communicate directly with field sales team to continually drive sales and keep abreast of market conditions and competitive technology. This position will identify marketing programs to drive demand and support sales with a focus on execution.

Responsibilities:  Supports the marketing manager in the development and execution of marketing and sales tools and new product launches to ensure achievement of sales targets  Develops and implements product specific sales and physician training materials, marketing communications and clinical marketing materials  Executes the congress marketing plans to ensure the successful presentation of the companys technology at major medical meetings  Provides ongoing leadership to field sales team to ensure effective execution of sales and marketing strategies/initiatives   Participates in the development of annual product marketing plans  Monitors clinical journals and provides rapid response communication to the sales team and internal stakeholders of key company and competitor clinical information.  Serves as a key resource to the US field sales force. Coordinates with sales functions to assure understanding and support of marketing programs.  Monitors and analyzes activities of competitors. Provides competitive information for Sr. Leadership and the field sales force.  Develops and monitors sales forecasts.  Supports the Marketing Manager to consolidate and manage the marketing expense budget.  Ensures that expenditures support the marketing objectives. Qualifications:

  Four year undergraduate degree required, preferably in business, marketing, engineering, or related field. MBA desirable.  Background in Business, Marketing or Life Sciences preferred.  Minimum 2 years of work experience in marketing or sales, preferably in the medical device industry  Excellent verbal and written communication skills  Must be skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Presentation programs.    Good analytical skills  Ability to work independently according to quarterly objectives  Strong team orientation  Travel required
