Equipment Product Marketing Manager

Champions the implementation of equipment & service program marketing and development plans through internal collaboration, external market research and analysis of internal needs and opportunities in parallel with supporting field sales initiatives. The position will require strong project management and marketing skills. The Product Manager will work closely with corporate management, the VP Marketing, Equipment, Technology & Service, the Branch Managers, and the ES & TM teams.
  • Initiates, manages and drives the preparation of marketing materials for Equipment products and services in cooperation with the Webster Marketing Dept, Creative Services and the Equipment team.
  • Works closely with field sales and ESs to develop succinct, well targeted, effective tools to facilitate sales growth goals.
  • Gathers veterinary market data and identifies trends that will lead to effective equipment & services initiatives.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturing partners to foster new collaborative efforts.
  • Assist the VP Marketing, Equipment, Technology & Service with ideas for new product offerings and opportunities.
  • Manages and drives the development and execution of various promotions & marketing activities internally and with external partners.
  • Communicates product/marketing information to a variety of internal sources.
  • Coordinates sales force training on new Equipment offerings.
  • Occasional travel to work with ESs & TMs, visit clinics and veterinary conferences to assist at tradeshow booth and attend meetings with manufacturing partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 Requirements
  • Strong marketing background and experience; hands-on accomplishments producing impactful sales support materials, managing projects from conception through launch, creative campaigns, website content, ad development, social media and the like.
  • Background using a variety of computer/software programs/applications; Microsoft Suite, databases and contact management systems; practice management software ideal.
  • Project management experience leading multi-discipline teams.
  • Independent, self-directed, motivated leader with abilities to be strategic and tactical/hands-on.
  • Influential manager interfacing with external suppliers and internal resources.
  • Ability to multi-task; manage numerous activities, events, and deadlines via prioritization and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with strong leadership presence.
Education/Training
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Marketing.
  • Previous veterinary sales and/or equipment experience preferred.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Prior marketing/promotions experience.
  • Working with direct sales organizations.
  • Writing experience.
  • Proof/copy editing experience desirable.
  • Microsoft Excel and Word experience.
Estimate 25% travel required.
