TDS is searching for a Field Marketing - Associate Manager . This position is responsible for is for administering and supporting the initiatives developed by Consumer Marketing to achieve its sales and revenue targets within designated markets. These markets will have a particular focus with our exciting TDS TV product. This position will be responsible for developing partnerships to enable further product penetration of TDS TV and broadband services.
The position identifies potential community involvement activities that develop and maintain TDSs brand while also generating sales opportunities for consumer products. The position is responsible for identifying public relations opportunities and competitive threats in the communities supported.
The Field Marketing - Associate Manager will act as a local resource for other centralized teams within TDS as needed. In addition, the individual will provide support in these markets for Commercial Marketing team efforts.
Please note: This position can be located in various locations in MN OR other states depending on market needs.
- Local Marketing Support:
- Work directly with Consumer team and local company personnel to provide direct support for community-related activities and provide feedback and perceptions related to products and services.
- Provide local support for TDS TV marketing strategies including customer demonstration events, open houses, customer appreciation and other public events to generate TDS TV and triple play sales.
- Develop partnerships with MDU owners and/or property managers to gain referral agreements and marketing opportunities; develop business relationships with Home Owners Associations and real estate agents or developers for marketing agreements and/or specialized marketing programs.
- Develop contacts/relationships with local Chambers of Commerce, town administrators and other community business groups and leaders.
- Administer the local, tactical, and targeted sales initiatives developed by Commercial Marketing (sales blitzes, group demonstrations, campaign support, referral generation, targeted prospecting, and local activities).
- Support Commercial sales efforts and assist with sales calls when requested (needs analysis meetings, proposal presentations, demonstrations).
- Administer local marketing trials or tactics developed by Consumer and Commercial marketing teams
Product Support and Competitive Information:- Monitor and identify competitive threats and opportunities.
- Collect competitive data and funnel to consumer and commercial product management/development support teams.
- Provide competitor offering/pricing and supply comparisons to TDS products and services.
- Act as a conduit for the Consumer and Commercial sales team to product management/development with input on potential product and service modification and developments feedback.
- Assist with Aid to Construction (ATC) and Land Development Agreements (LDA) as requested.
- Carry out other activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or higher or 4+ years professional work experience
- 4+ years marketing, sales or customer operations experience
- Need to be proficient with sales CRM tools and database management
- Must have excellent presentation skills
- Experience in conducting group product demonstrations
- Due to serving multiple geographically dispersed markets, must be willing to travel 40%-50% of the time.
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
- Background and/or working knowledge in customer service, marketing, management and/or sales
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
