Senior Systems Administrator at Belle Plaine

Kforce is looking for a senior level Systems Administrator for an exciting opportunity in Belle Plain, Minnesota (MN)! Our client is building a new data center and is looking for someone to help oversee the systems administration activities around that data center. This individual will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational needs.

Skills:

• Design of System Administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs


• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements


• Install, configure, and upgrade systems applications


• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures


• Contribute to and maintain system standards


• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale

Technical Competencies:

• Knowledge of and Experience working Microsoft Server Operating Systems, VMWare, SANs, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft System Center or related systems


• BS / BA - 4 year college degree preferred


• 3 to 5 years system administration experience


• Understanding of requirements gathering and the ability to quickly translate business ideas into functional requirement


• Proven ability to gain expertise in new applications


• Able to communicate with IT and business individuals and teams at all levels


• Able to manage multiple priorities; self-directed and customer service focused
