The primary goal of the Network Engineer II is to ensure the smooth operation of the Deluxe data network in order to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users. The Network Engineer III is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting LAN, WAN infrastructures at all sites. The Network Engineer III provides high level technical support for data network systems, creates and maintains network documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, and works projects as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved communication equipment and procedures. The Network Engineer III must be well versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, wireless, network security devices and network management systems. This position requires excellent project delivery, problem management and customer service skills.

Accountabilities:

- Provide Leadership and engineering guidance to network engineers and analysts.
- Planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems of High complexity.
- Provides technical direction to the team, technical management escalation and attend project/operational meetings.
- Participates in network planning, network architecture design and engineering.
- Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.

Required:

- Bachelor degree in information technology or equivalent discipline
- 7 years experience in network operations
- 5 years network engineering performing network planning/engineering (hardware and software) and network implementation
- Expert/lead technical role
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, peers and customers
- Work on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert in networking solutions
- Work on projects/issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments
- Coaches and mentors more junior technical staff
- Establishes direction and defines priorities within the network engineering team
