Marketing Analytics Manager at Minnetonka

Position Overview

The Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible to provide strategic and tactical analytical support to help drive Datacard’s growth. Key duties include below:

  • Drive analytical culture change
    • Identify opportunities by monitoring and evaluating existing data, metrics, tools, processes and resources for opportunities
    • Help build metrics-driven environment by implementing modern methodology, technology and leveraging past learning and resources
    • Define and initiate new analytical projects that drive growth; e.g. move from cost-plus to value-based pricing
    • Attract, develop and retain top analytical talent
  • Manage tools and processes – architect, build, maintain and improve tools to
    • Manage information for R&D process with automation and centralization
    • Drive sales by communicating value; e.g. customized ROI analysis
  • Provide intelligence
    • External research, including industry trends, competition, etc.; e.g. new market deep dives and buy-side M&A comps
    • Internal research; e.g. gain insight via historical data and generate senior management reporting
  • Provide analytical support – across multiple vertical markets and functional departments
    • Mine data, perform due diligence and analyze for trends, abnormalities, opportunities, etc.
    • Illustrate findings with automated reporting
    • Provide recommendation, solicit buy-in, drive change
    • Provide ad-hoc analytical support for senior management and major deals with speed and diligence
    • Typical project span across Marketing, Engineering, Sales and Finance; mostly in Financial or Government vertical markets
 RequirementsEducation/Experience
 
  • Bachelors and/or MBA degrees with quantitative focus (finance, econ, DIS/MIS, statistics, applied sciences, math, etc.)
  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • 5+ years of advanced Excel modeling experience a must (data tables, pivot tables, lookups, chart/report generation, etc.)
  • Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Preferred knowledge
    • Corporate finance / accounting
    • Banking
    • Statistical analysis / data mining
    • DIS/MIS tools (Business Objects, Cognos, etc.)

 

  • Travel: <10%
