Continuous Improvement Consultant at Minneapolis

Job Description

Client Experience

  • Drives brand and business performance for the companys clients by leading commercial Continuous Improvement consulting engagements.
  • Maintains close relationship with the clients assigned leadership contact to ensure collaboration to follow project specifications and meet client needs.
  • Monitors progress of ongoing client improvement projects to address and resolve promptly, accurately, effectively, and to the clients satisfaction, any issues or problems that may arise. Periodically inform Client Growth leadership of project progress.
  • Collaborates across the business to ensure client needs are met and projects and workflows stay within scope, budget, timeline, quality and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assists and partners with Business Development team, Client Engagement Leads, Global Account Leaders, and Managing Directors with the creation of presentations relevant to Continuous Improvement and/or new business models.

Operational Excellence

  • Meets quality standards at all times for all assigned deliverables and makes recommendations to both external and internal clients for improvements in reports, tools, processes and assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with client decision-makers to develop and implement transformational initiatives such as outsourcing, centralization, global initiatives, and product innovation process optimization.
  • Perform analytical assessment of any part of a clients graphic supply chain.

  • Connects with and provides true utility and neutrality to external clients, Client Engagement Leads, Global Account Leaders, MDs, and BD
  • Identifies CIP Champions (Schawk Account Leadership) and serve them at the highest level possible
  • Tells the story of how were helping clients win
  • Partners with CI Team to build and execute a communication plan to establish thought leadership and to stay relevant/connected to our CIP Champions

  • May perform other duties, as needed, to meet the needs of the business.

Job Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • College degree (e.g. Bachelor of Arts) or equivalent degree within relevant disciplines or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
  • Preferred - Certification in Six Sigma, Lean or other form of continuous improvement methodology; Advanced degree.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience applying Lean and/or Six Sigma tools to process improvement and quality projects.

Skills & Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of Schawks products, solutions and services.
  • Strong expertise in building new relationships and nurturing existing relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Strong understanding of the market and business environment that affects the assigned clients.
  • Strong understanding of the assigned clients products and services and broad business strategy and challenges.
  • Strong client management skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written, verbal).
  • Strong people, organizational, and analytical skills (including attention to detail).
  • Expert problem-solving skills; strong ability to proactively identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of business models, objectives, financial metrics, etc. used in decision-making; ability to build sound business cases to support initiatives.
  • Proficient Computer Management Software skills (e.g. MS Office-Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to build new relationships and nurture existing relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Proven ability to influence decisions at all levels; strong negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to profitably grow business revenue with new clients and with existing clients.
  • Proven ability to develop a collaborative and neutral relationship with colleagues across the organization.
  • Ability and willingness to work with people of all levels.
  • Ability to travel to client locations up to 50% of time.
