Medical Device Training Specialist (Cardiology / Cath Lab)

Job Responsibilities

As a Training Specialist, you will be tasked with creating and presenting both clinical and sales oriented field training for both our staff as well as clients via our offsite contracted programs. Your responsibilities will include independently developing, planning, managing and executing all program logistics.

Your specific duties will include:

• Reviewing all PowerPoint presentations and appropriately updating them with current product, sales and business information
• Assisting the Product Management team with various projects as they relate to ongoing training and education for VSI employees and customers
• Providing support as appropriate to answer clinical questions from the field and/or provide clinical input
• Traveling to medical meetings and presenting VSI products to physicians and other medical staff as needed
• Serving as the main internal contact for all offsite programs
• Renewing annual training contracts with offsite facilities under the direction of the VP of Marketing
• Assisting in the annual planning and budgeting process
• Contributing to the continued program improvement

Job Requirements

As a Training Specialist, we very strongly prefer that you have a clinical background in interventional cardiology or radiology or as a cath lab tech or cath lab nurse, as those areas relate directly to our product line. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and that you are able to train persons from a wide variety of backgrounds and skill levels.

Specific qualifications for the Training Specialist position include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Allied Health or Science
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in physician product training or facilitating classroom sales/clinical training
• Minimum 2 years hands-on clinical experience in interventional cardiology, radiology or cath lab, strongly preferred
• Ability to independently create, lead and manage all program content and logistics
• Ability to quickly learn clinical applications of all Vascular Solutions products
• Ability to write in a clear, logical and linear manner
• Strong organizational multitasking and prioritization skills
• Willingness to work in Minnesota
• Availability for up to 20% domestic and international travel
