Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Master Scheduler is development, coordination, and implementation of overall manufacturing plans for the Heating Division with primary emphasis around assurance of material supply and inventory control. The MS is responsible for planning, organizing and controlling the monthly master schedule. The position will perform the responsibilities detailed below and other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Conduct monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meeting. In conjunction with Sales and Finance develop and validate forecasts and demand profiles for each product group.
• Develop and present a monthly Supply Plan communicated in units covering the expected demand for each product family over a 12 month period.
• Measure monthly forecast accuracy and present during monthly S&OP reviews.
• Manage and maintain all phases of the Master Production Schedule; develop, recommend, review, implement, and maintain the tools and techniques necessary to analyze the impact of proposed schedule changes to manufacturing capacity.
• Use statistical forecasting and other management tools to develop optimum supply plan to support product lead-times and minimize inventory levels.
• Identify & resolve conflicts with respect to materials, capacity and product availability.
• Optimize inventory to achieve FY targets and improve customer on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain necessary records to track inventory reductions.
• Analyze, reduce and disposition excess & obsolete inventory.
• Work with cross-functional departments on a worldwide basis to mitigate inventory risk and maximize inventory turns.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Job Requirements

Education: BS/BA degree in Business or related field

Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years experience in a manufacturing planning environment.
