Our Client in the South West Metro is looking for a Data Warehouse QA to join a team of 8 Developers and 2 QAs.RESPONSIBILITIES1. Estimates QA work effort for assigned projects.2. Writes test cases to test application or system functionality.3. Runs manual test cases for application or system functionality and performs analysis to ensure that it meets design specifications and is within total quality management limits and standards. 4. Documents and publishes testing results, troubleshoot, and escalate issues as appropriate.5. Works under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. 6. Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. 7. Other duties as assigned. 8. Creates test plan documentation for assigned projects.9. Manages testing for more applications or system at a given time, applications or systems of a bigger size, or a combination of both.10. Leads or mentors less senior QA analysts.11. Works under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. 12. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. 13. Manages testing for more applications or system at a given time, applications or systems of a bigger size, or a combination of both.14. Leads or mentors less senior QA analysts.15. Works under minimal supervision on complex projects and may assist less experienced peers. 16. Has wide latitude for independent judgment.Specialty FunctionsQA Analysts for Data Warehouse requires SQL development type skills with a QA mindset.Required:1. Database Need knowledge of and experience with relational databases2. T-SQL Need strong experience in developing in this language. Testing is performed utilizing scripts to compare data integrity with the source systems3. Data Analysis Need to be able to understand a business and its data in order to provide insight into Root Cause analysis of issues4. Ability to work as a peer to developers and have a productive working relationship when ambiguity or results require research and joint resolution5. Test Environment Management - experience managing multiple test databases at multiple versions, performing deployments to and managing test environments Preferred:1. ETL Should understand the concepts behind the movement and transformation of data.2. Code deployment Experience with code deployment tools and procedures is very helpful3. Experience in testing Data Warehouses or Reporting data stores
