ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.Assist with the preparation of the monthly presentations to executive management. These presentations recap the monthly financial, operating performance and supply chain of the Mid Continent division. They are prepared using a combination of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.2.Assist with financial reporting, improving or updating current financial reports/spreadsheets.3.Financial Analysis, provide detailed plant and variance analyses for monthly and YTD results. Margin analysis using Cognos. Sales analysis using a combination of data mining software, Excel, AS400 data mining.4.Financial Analysis, help with the monitoring of purchase price variance and purchased materials standard costs and take necessary corrective actions.5.Provide assistance to Cost Accountant in the preparation and analysis of the annual operating budget and capital plan, in conjunction with other plant management members.6.Provide and publish monthly financial metrics to management and owners, such as Inventory turns, Days Sales Outstanding, scrap cost per cabinet, hours per unit, NCR?s, employee turnover, and others.7.Keeps management informed by providing activity and results reports, such as daily open back orders, weekly purchase price variance reports, and weekly inventory summaries for all plants, sales analyses, and inventory turns by plant.8.Other responsibilities as required.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEA Bachelors degree (B.A., B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required. This is an entry level position so little or no experience is needed. A recent graduate would be ideal since the successful candidate will receive extensive training.COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
