Volunteers of America-MN is dedicated to helping people in need. Our Omegon facility, located in Minnetonka, provides chemical dependency and psychiatric residential treatment for adolescents ages 12 to 17. This is the one of the only childrens program in the state that can treat patients with dual diagnosis. VOA-MN is a trauma informed care agency and we are seeking staff that understand the prevalence and importance of trauma informed approaches. As a Mental Health Practitioner, this person will be part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals that provides direct services to children and youth with chemical dependency and psychiatric needs. Primary duties include providing residential and family therapy as well as transitional services and case management to emotionally and behaviorally problem children placed in long term residential care. Services include behavioral assessment, individual and family assessment, skills training, treatment planning, ongoing care planning, individual, family, group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, case consultation and assisting transition to home and community.

Job Requirements

Masters degree required. 2 years post master and license eligible preferred.
