Scrum Coach/Scrum Master

Job Description:

This Scrum Coach/Scrum Master will:

• Act as Scrum master for 3 to 4 scrum teams in a distributed environment, with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.
• Assist the program and project manager(s) with keeping the backlog groomed
• Ensure cross-team coordination
• Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing
• Coach and mentor other scrum masters in our product team. Ensure that our ways of working are consistent across the teams.
• Liaise between the developers and User Experience/Visual Designers. Foster better communication between the disciplines.
• Strengthen our teams Agile practices.
• Provide instruction and training to software development teams in the area of agile software principles
• Ability to operate independently within established methodologies, procedures, and guidelines

Job Requirements:

This Scrum Coach/Scrum Master position is a great match for a candidate with the following skill set:

• Certified scrum master/scrum trainer
• 8 or more years of direct experience in one or more aspects of Information Technology (Software design/ development, IT Architecture or other related IT areas)
• 2 or more years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master, Product Owner or member of an Agile delivery team, preferably in a variety of situations
• Hands-on experience as an Agile Scrum Master, preferably with large organizations
• Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development
• Strong influence, facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation skills
• Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.
• Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management
• Enthusiastic Must be high-energy
