Maintenance Manager
Responsibility of All Maintenance function at an Automotive Tier 1 Manufacturing Plant.
Responsibilities will include managing and administering all the plant manufacturing engineering and plant maintenance engineering activities.
This Role for Manufacturing Engineering Manager is in Iowa.
Relocation is required and provided - this is a direct hire role with a Manufacturing Division of a Fortune 500 company - with excellent benefits and room to grow.
Job Function:
- Analyzing severity of maintenance problems and prioritizes daily emergencies to minimize plant down time and optimize equipment uptime as well as maximizing plant productivity.
- Ensuring maintenance team supports both preventative and predictive maintenance programs through analysis, planning, and scheduling
- Address reactive/unplanned maintenance through rapid response team and support continuous improvements thru documentation, analysis, and feedback to derive irreversible corrective action.
- Lead maintenance personnel and manage the equipment maintenance; Total responsibility to run this plant maintenance and interface with other departments on matters of maintenance and productivity.
- Manage all Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance in a Manufacturing Plant at this Automotive Tier 1 - Automotive components company;
- Work on Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering in close concert with Manufacturing Operations.
- Lead the preventative maintenance program.
Job Requirements
Maintenance Manager
Responsibility of All Maintenance function at an Automotive Tier 1 Manufacturing Plant.
- Must have an Associate’s degree minimum with 4 year Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 4 years minimum in maintenance supervisory experience at a large manufacturing company, preferably automotive related or heavy industry.
- Proven experience leading and developing maintenance personnel like electricians, mechanics, pipe fitters, plumbers, tool makers, die makers and other skilled tradesmen. Requires personal knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- This role requires very strong Leadership skills in Maintenance Management. One must be very proactive and action oriented relative to reaction to emergencies as well as preventative and predictive maintenance.
