Business Development Manager at Inver Grove Heights

Responsibilities

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Transportation & Distributionbusiness. We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the development of our natural gas fuels business. You must be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, innovative, and detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You must have strong analytical, organizational and people management skills and be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects of varying complexity.

You will:

• Manage all aspects of the natural gas fuels program for CHS by identifying new market growth & business opportunities and lead business unit and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee all business and technical development of transportation and fueling assets.
• Lead teams in the design, development and procurement of natural gas transportation assets and construction of fueling infrastructure.
• Develop and manage commercial relationships, contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate profitable contracts and agreements with commercial customers and vendors.
• Align programs with business unit strategies and CHS stakeholder objectives.
• Market CHS natural gas technologies to third parties and pursue commercial partnerships where applicable.
• Keep CHS on the forefront of new transportation industry trends and technologies.
• Develop and manage other programs in support of business needs.
• Do mestic Travel up to 40%.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
• 10+ years overall business experience, of which 5+ years is in project/program management, asset/business development and/or product development and launch experience.
• Experience with:
  • Successfully leading project teams.
  • Developing & delivering effective presentations.
  • Financial analysis, business modeling, budgeting and capital expense planning.
  • Managing commercial and vendor relationships.
  • Negotiating agreements with customers and vendors.
• Ability to travel as needed, 40% or more.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Business Administration (MBA)
• PMP Certificate (Project Management Professional).
• Energy or alternative energy technology and/or research industry experience.
• Construction project management experience.
• Understanding of regulatory and environmental policies.
