Since 1994, ProVation Medical has been dedicated to helping clinicians and medical facilities focus on patients rather than paperwork.The Medical Content Development Specialist has primary responsibility for designing, building, documenting, testing, and assisting in design of software solutions using both web and object-oriented programming.SummaryThe Medical Content Development Specialists develop and support software across various product lines. In addition the Development Specialist activities include learning and maintaining a thorough understanding of various ProVation and other Wolters Kluwer Health products and services; drive the planning phase of assigned projects; assist in developing technical design for projects; drive the construction/build phase of projects; conduct the QA phase of projects; provide technical oversight for the remaining life-cycle; and represent Wolters Kluwer within the industry.ResponsibilitiesWork with other database administrator, other team members, and vendor partners to design and build interface applications that communicate with hospital EMR/CPOE systems.Assist in adding new features and functionality to existing ProVation and other Wolters Kluwer Health applications and web services, as well as create new ones in C#.Design, write and test SQL or T-SQL scripts and/or PL/SQL packages and proceduresWrite and test XSL transformations for XML filesAssist with other technical projects as neededJob Requirements
Minimum Experience:5 years of programming experience, including:Proficiency with C# and .NET frameworkExperience in Visual Studio .NET building windows forms and console applicationsExperience with SQL and Oracle PL/SQLExperience with XML, XSLT and XPathKnowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database management systemsKnowledge of object oriented development conceptsAdapting quickly to changing requirements, deadlines, priorities, and technologies.Handling multiple projects simultaneouslyUtilizing communication skills to deliver updates, presentations, and reports.Communicating technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.Utilizing advanced analytical skills to problem solve and debug.Preferred Experience (includes minimum):Hands on experience with Team Foundation Server.Developing web services or Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based applications.Healthcare industry or sciences.Clinical software systems.Minimum Knowledge:Knowledge of software enterprise architecturesObject oriented methodologies and solutionsIndustry-standard application architecturesKnowledge of solutions development lifecycles, frameworks and methodologiesBest practices standards for software developmentSoftware design patternsFluent English (oral and written)Preferred Knowledge (includes minimum):Medical terminologyControlled medical terminologyWolters Kluwer (www.wolterskluwer.com) is a market-leading global information services company.
