ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY In this position, you will play a critical role ensuring that the data assets of the organization are supported by an architecture that allows Univita to achieve its strategic goals. You will design and build data warehouses and leverage BI tools to deliver information to Univitas business and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and support SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and tables, SSIS packages and SSRS reports.
• Design, create and support BI solutions utilizing a variety of tools.
• Create and maintain design artifacts as required by the development methodology.
• Perform and review unit tests, code reviews and deployments.
• Provide production support services including failure analysis and troubleshooting of software processes.
• Work within the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including development, documentation, testing, implementation, and process improvements.
• Propose standards and best practices in all technical areas.
• Maintain applications compliant with application frameworks and standards.
• Design interactions and manage dependencies with other systems.
• Interface with business staff and mentor less senior members, acting as a lead when needed.
• Effectively communicate business value of complex technical solutions to internal and external business and technical leaders.
• Work under minimal supervision, have ability to use independent judgment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in business administration, computer science/software engineering or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of data programming experience using Microsofts data tools including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS required
• 3+ years of experience with Data Warehouse technologies and BI tools required
• Experience in data analysis, data flow diagramming, data security and an understanding of Enterprise Application integration
• Experience in leading data modeling efforts and maintaining both OLTP and OLAP data models
• Experience in various aspects of quality assurance process and tools, such as test design, text execution, performance testing and test automation
• Leadership experience in all areas relating to IT projects and processes
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
• Excellent communication skills including verbal and written
• Experience with Qlikview preferred
• Previous experience in the insurance or healthcare industry preferred
