The Corporate Security Investigator conducts general investigations for any operational unit designated by management or counsel. You will develop and/or interpret detailed, investigation-specific activity reports to identify potential criminal activity and correlate reviewed data for inclusion in case file and communications to counsel and management.

The Corporate Security Investigator also:

Evaluates referred issues for existence of fraud, criminal acts and employee misconduct
Through investigation, protects corporation from known or suspected internal or external criminal activities
Conducts detailed investigations requiring computer forensics skills
Utilizes electronic systems, intelligence databases, activity records, reports and forensic analysis in investigations
Locates, gathers, and preserves evidence related to investigations
Gathers information about individuals, companies, and other entities from public and non-public sources
Conducts surveillance from motor vehicles, and covertly documents activities of individuals, companies, and other entities
Participates in or conducts interviews and obtains statements from witnesses, suspects, and other individuals
Prepares detailed, concise reports, suitable for submission to government agencies, courts, and counsel and makes recommendations in investigations
Testifies in depositions and court regarding investigative results
Assists in the identification of risk areas and provides input to the development of corrective action plans
Promotes compliance with company policies & procedures, prevention of fraud, and organization of operational efficiency
Works varying schedules, typically no less than 50 hours per week
Works with law enforcement in criminal prosecutions to deter fraud and realize asset recovery
Acts as internal technical consultant re: fraud, criminal activity and computer forensics
Acts as resource for any employee regarding security related issues, i.e., work place violence, self-protection, domestic violence, threats, etc.
Delivers fraud prevention, work place violence prevention and management training to employees
Coordinates response of mailroom and security contractors to suspicious packages, possible mail bombs and use of fluoroscopy detection device
Provides first call response for any reported event or situation
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
5 years law enforcement (federal, state or local) or corporate security investigation experience is required
CFE, CPP, EnCE designation strongly preferred
Possession of a valid drivers license is required
Experience securing written/recorded statements
Experience acquiring and analyzing computer-based evidence
Writing accurate and detailed reports and strong grammatical skills
Experience in deposition and courtroom testimony
Computer literacy to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and email as well as computer forensics applications
Flexible in work schedules to include working long hours, weekends and some holiday hours
Strong initiative and work ethic
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks
Ability to work independently
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to work closely with supervisory personnel as well as other investigators
