Mobile Application Engineer at Saint Louis Park

Description:

This position will design, configure, and support a suite of mobile productivity tools designed to improve the performance and productivity of UHG employees. The position will have responsibility to lead the planning, testing, tuning, configuring and setting up of enterprise mobile technologies, and will provide advanced technical support for these applications to our end-user community.Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides direction in planning, testing, tuning and provides advanced support in the configuration and setup of mobile productivity architecture as well as its connectivity with MS Exchange and any other email applications (Outlook, Active Sync, Blackberry Enterprise Server)

Appropriate documentation on associated environments (including deployment, configuration, and related processes)

Performs advanced system administration.

Analyzes and evaluates information systems operations and provides technical direction and recommendations to improve utilization

Monitors application infrastructure and troubleshoots complicated or ambiguous problems and performs advanced preventative maintenance on hardware and software on a scheduled basis

Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency

Monitors network system backups and participates in disaster recovery planning, testing and response

Provides 24/7 on-call support as needed (such as weekends, holidays, and outside normal business hours)

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, MIS or similar area of study, or equivalent experience.

2 or more years of experience supporting a large-scale Exchange Environment

2 or more years of experience supporting mobile email devices such as Blackberry, iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile

Assets:

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

Proficiency with MS Visio

Healthcare Industry experience

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience
