Job Description

HIRING COMPANY IS LOCATED IN HIBBING, MINNESOTA.  YOU MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE.

Our client in the Hibbing area is looking for a software/development engineer. This company is a division of a major automotive company and creates, designs and remanufactures wiring harnesses, circuit boards and sub-assemblies.

This position needs experience in the following areas: Project leadership of cross-functional teams, well developed and proven organizational skills, ability to create and read electrical schematics, knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips and electronic equipment. Software Development and experience with knowledge in design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of product and statistical background.

Must be able to work with several people form other departments through the phases of a project, design electronic components, software, products or systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military and scientific applications, provide technical support and instruction to staff or customers regarding equipment standards, assisting with specific and difficult in-service engineering, operate computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks, analyze system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine feasibility of project and develop systems plan.

Ability to determine material and equipment needs and other supplies, inspect electronic equipment, instruments, products, and systems to ensure conformance to specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes and regulations.

Evaluate operations systems, prototypes, proposals and recommend repair or design modifications, based on factors such as environmental, service cost, and system capabilities.

Prepare documentation containing information such as confidential descriptions and specifications of proprietary hardware and software, product development and introduction schedules, product costs, and information about product performance weaknesses, develop high level repair procedures for electronics control unites processed in production.

Must be able to work all shift if needed and/or flexible hours.

Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree in related field. with 1 year of experience.
OR  Associates Degree with 2 years of experience.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check and have drivers license.

Must have high level of competence in the use of MS Excel, Access, Word and Power Point.
