ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY Manages the defined contribution plan(s), including day to day activities. Ensures plan(s) are being administered as required by law; resolves escalated issues as they relate to plan(s). Prepares annual compliance audit packages; including annual/semi-annual testing, 5500 filing and SAR distribution. Ensures data integrity and performs periodic analysis involving enrollment, eligibility and financial impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains the Unified Provider Database to assure accurate and complete information on all health care agencies, services and products.
Administers day-to-day activity of defined contribution plan(s)
Manages vendor/record-keeper
Ensures plan(s) is compliant with applicable regulations (e.g., ERISA, Department of Labor, Pension Protection Act, etc.)
Enrolls eligible employees accordingly
Assists participants with questions/benefits explanations
Monitors loan activity, hardship distributions and other plan disbursements
Manages the electronic enrollments via payroll vendor
Prepares responses with respect to annual audits to ensure smooth data flow for filing of IRS Form 5500
Resolves issues that may arise as result of annual audit
Reviews and files IRS Form 5500 and distributes Summary Annual Reports (SAR) accordingly
Prepares draft of presentation to 401(k) Fiduciary committee; generally 3 times per calendar year
Interacts with General Counsel, outside ERISA counsel and others with respect to required documentation to ensure the defined contribution plan(s) runs smoothly and fully compliant
Interacts with payroll department to ensure file transmissions with respect to enrollments, contributions, employer match and loan payments are properly reported and reconciled
Participates in review/selection of benefits vendor(s)
Assists with due diligence that may be required for acquisition activity
Ensures activity/compliance required to enable transfer of assets for acquired plan(s) is satisfied
Leads the overall Retirement Savings Plan communication to employees (e.g., annual enrollment, periodic one-on-one meetings offered by record-keeper and any other communication that may be required as a result of acquisition/integration activity).
Job Requirements
Minimum
5 years experience in defined contribution plan(s) administration and compliance with plans with 1,500+ participants dispersed throughout various geographic locations
Bachelors degree in Finance, Human Resources or Business Administration
Intermediate/Advance skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
Knowledge of ERISA, Pension Protection Act, DOL Regulations and other federal regulations applicable to retirement plans
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication skills with a very diverse employee population
Ability to roll-up sleeves and work in a strategic and tactical role(s) simultaneously
Required to uphold the principles of compliance as outlined in the Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook and related policies and procedures. Supports and participates in the mandatory Corporate Compliance Program training initiative on an annual or more frequent basis, as required.
Preferred
CEBS certification desirable
Experienced in working acquisitions/divestitures as it relates to defined contribution plan(s)
Experienced with ADP HRB
