Product Manager - Payer and Provider Markets - OptumInsightThe Product Manager position is responsible for supporting the conceptualization, research, marketing, development, test and roll-out of data-based business intelligence applications for the Payer and Provider markets. Work with internal and external business stakeholders to determine product future direction via a 24-month product roadmap, and respond to product inquiries. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Collect, refine, and communicate requirements to Agile development team through a groomed product backlogProduct space requires knowledge of NQF & MSSP Quality Measures, risk-based contract performance measurement, and Business Intelligence spaceCollect, refine, and communicate requirements to Agile development team through a groomed product backlogConduct research to qualify product development ideas and quantify new business opportunitiesPrimary advocate for the Voice of the Customer to internal stakeholders; product evangelist communicating product benefits to internal and external groupsPrioritize product enhancement needs working with key stakeholders to determine timing and best use of internal resourcesInvestigate potential product issues and communicate to stakeholders results and next steps in a timely mannerOrganize and lead multi-departmental work teams to design and implement new products.Work with product consulting and marketing to develop collateral materials, as well as launch strategy and marketing communications plan.Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences.Envision, design, and communicate the user experience needed to exceed customer expectationsApply user-centered design principles for the creation of user interfacesGreat sales are the result of strong purpose, conviction and pride - pride in your ability and your product. Job Requirements

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.5+ years product management experience (innovation, ideation, bringing products to market)qualifying product opportunities, targeting markets, and designing viable products,within thehealth care industry requiredDemonstrated experience with Business intelligence / data warehousing experienceEntrepreneurship, Sense of Urgency: proactive and anticipates andreacts to situations quickly and decisively, possessing self-confidence to be assertive when taking a position, not afraid to make decisionsExperience with data analysis for Providers (e.g. someone from Provider consulting, worked for a provider in a data analysis/analytic role, worked for a company that sold data analysis tools to providers)Clinical Informatics, Healthcare Contract Analysis, NQF/MSSP/HEDIS Quality Measurement, or provider process improvement preferredExcellent influencing and collaboration skills to develop and implement successful solution development, working with all departments for successful executionDemonstrated ability to manage people and prioritize deliverablesProven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguityOptumInsight is part of the family of companies that make UnitedHealth Group one of the leaders across most major segments of the US health care system.OptumInsight is one of the largest and fastest growing health information companies.
