Join Datacard’s Summer 2014 Internship Program as an Intern in our Supplies Product Marketing Group.  Gain hands-on experience in your focus area of study and participate in Intern Programming activities that include an Executive Q&A Panel, Presentation Skills Training and a Mentor Program.  The Summer Internship Program allows undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain experience and develop skills through challenging work assignments that truly add value to the business.

Position Overview:

In Product Marketing, we’re responsible for driving the business planning, product planning and go-to-market strategies for our product portfolios in a way that will benefit the customers and the company.

Working closely with members of the Product Marketing team, the Intern will support the team’s product planning and go-to-market activities including aiding in market and competitive research, product launch activities and analyzing sales financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Research competitive messaging, positioning, offers and market trends
• Analyze and report on internal sales financial results by a variety of segmentations and provide insights on areas of opportunity
• Assist in developing customer surveys and other VOC activities
• Support the development of sales tools and launch of new products

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• 3.0 GPA or Higher
• Completed at least 2 years of Bachelor’s Program
• “Want to learn, want to add value and want to produce results" attitude
• Student should be familiar with competitive analysis, market research, business model development and operational improvements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a technology business with global scope
• Technology Product management or product marketing experience
• Coursework or other prior experience demonstrating quantitative analysis skills
• Experience performing research and creating reports
• Skilled in Microsoft Office products
