Description:

Directs the financial affairs of the organization and prepares financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management and outside accounting firm.

Job Description:

Staff Management

•  Supervise, train and develop direct reports responsible for accounts payable and receivables as well as payroll functions

Internal Controls

•  Establish financial controls and monitor compliance to protect company assets

•  Ensure compliance with Corporate policies and procedures

•  Maintain and certify compliance with documented procedures for internal audits

•  Primary contact resource for Internal Audit and Sales Tax request

Financial Reporting

•  Prepare and submit financial statements to Owners and CPA Firm

•  Analyze financial results and report on budget/forecast variances

•  Utilize data mining tools to extract, analyze and report data

Taxes

•  Ensure compliance with all federal, states and local tax requirements

•  Prepare annual income tax schedules

•  Supervise preparation and submission of sales and use tax returns

Project Management

•  Manage various projects as they arise with other departments

Miscellaneous

•  Manage the Company credit and purchasing cards

•  Monthly calculations of sales commission

 

Job Requirements:

B.A. or B.S. in Accounting/Finance, CPA or CMA is preferred

7 + years of related experience in financial management - preferred Manufacturing background

Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet deadlines

Strong communication and teamwork skills
