Mental Health Practitioner (CTSS) at Duluth

Job Description

Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is a dynamic and fast-paced based mental health clinic that is seeking a full time  Mental Health Practitioner to work in our CTSS program, performing the following duties:

1. Builds and maintains a full-time caseload per week.
2. Builds relationships with clients and assists them in identifying goals for functional improvement.
3. Work with clients to help them act as independently as possible in their community.
4. Designs and implements treatment/intervention reflective of patient needs, stated in terms of expected outcomes and including strategies.
5. Maintains legible and organized patient records in accordance with policies and requirements of the state of Minnesota.
6. Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings.
7. Follows policies and procedures of Nystrom & Associates, Ltd and Family support services, Inc. (FSSI).
8. Works collaboratively with community based agencies.
9. Supports and participates in the marketing and promotion of the program as indicated.

Job Requirements

Mental Health Practitioners must be qualified in at least one of the following ways:

1. Obtained a masters or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
2. BA in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services in the treatment of mental illness or children with emotional disturbances; or
3. Completed 6,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services in the treatment of mental illness; or

In addition, the Mental Health Practitioner must have the following experience requirements:
1. The practitioners experience must have been supervised, but not necessarily by a mental health professional;
2. The practitioner must have provided mental health services directly to adults with mental illness or children with SED; and
3. Those services must have been community support program services or other services.
