Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer at Plymouth

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Daily systems administration tasks to provide infrastructure monitoring via HP Openview Operations, HP Openview Agent Support, and, HP Performance Manager.
Ability to monitor software on Unix, Linux, and Windows platform and identify any performance or capacity issues and correct.
Work with HP technical support on any issues that require escalation to the vendor
Scrutinize software logs and daily reports to address proactive measures to improve efficiency

Team:
Member of Monitoring Tools team of 10 onsite and 4 offshore resources

Must have skills:
Experience doing network monitoring with HP Openview Operations, HP Openview Agent Support, and HP Performance Manager.
Minimum of 1 year systems admin skills per a Unix, Linux, and Windows server based application
Skills surrounding collection of logs and diagnostic research in resolving software issues
Ability to relate software capabilities to non-technical user community
Team player mentality

Nice to haves:
Experience using HP Business Service Manager, HP SiteScope, HP Network Node Manager,xMatters (AlarmPoint) and Gomez (dynaTrace DC RUM ( Data Center Real User Monitor)) monitoring tools
Large company experience
