We are Pearl Insurance based in Peoria Heights, IL and are a part of the Pearl Companies, which also includes Pearl Benefits, Pearl Automotive, and Pearl Carroll & Associates LLC. We are seeking to add a Regional Director to our team.
The Regional Director is responsible for the initial contact with a firm and initiating the process to get an application and quote as well as selling insurance policies. Position requires handling of complicated coverage issues and questions. Our “A Player" will be a self-starter, who excels at making the deal and closing the sale.

Regional Director (Sales / Insurance)
Job Responsibilities
As our Regional Director, you will be generating business opportunities and closing sales; meeting individual monthly and annual selling goals and managing a territory team to ensure territory sales goals and objectives are met.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Initiating contact with firms focusing on getting an application and educating the client on features, benefits, etc. by phone, e-mail, or personal contact
- Delivering quotes
- Handling inbound calls, correspondence, logging activities, conference calls, reporting and general territory management
- Renewing large firm accounts
- Traveling to potential firms
- Providing loss control seminars
- Attending association and convention events and broker meetings
- Initiating and approving development of marketing ads and campaigns
- Handling complicated insurance coverage issues/questions
- Approving new broker contracts, recruits new brokers, and manages broker partner relations
- Building and maintaining relationship with state and local associations to successfully promote their sponsored/endorsed programs
- Working with Senior Management and Carrier to provide market data and program feedback
- Maintaining knowledge of policies (ours and competitors), trends, etc...

The Regional Director should have the education and the experience necessary for this position.
Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in business or a related field; sales and customer service experience within the insurance industry, preferably business to business
- Professional liability insurance experience, preferred
- Above average PC user skills in MS Office and MS Windows applications
- Experience with our Customer Relationship Management System (Siebel) or another CRM system is helpful
- Ability to travel by car, train or airplane to other company locations or conventions / trade shows; overnight travel may make up 15% of the job, with general travel during the day of approximately 75% of the job
- Property and Casualty Insurance License
