Description:

This position is responsible for conducting training needs analysis for the business and developing all training materials, communications, and activities to meet the organizations job/role requirements. It involves conducting ongoing evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of programs, recommending/ implementing modifications as necessary, and working with SMEs to obtain training content. The primary focus of this position is online (technology driven) - stand alone and blended training solutions.

Functional Competency & Description Proficiency LevelTDD_Analyze Business Issues and Needs Engage/collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs needed to identify business needs, performance goals and gaps, business issues (e.g., quality data, production data), specific knowledge, skills, behaviors needed to achieve desired performance levels
Determine project goals/milestones based on identified business needs/timelines, and obtain appropriate approvals (e.g., go/no-go decisions, checkpoints)
Identify measurement approaches and mechanisms to evaluate success of the solution (e.g., quality scores and/or other metrics)
TDD_Design Training Solutions Follow a rapid design/development model to create learning objectives based on appropriate analyses and the approach to evaluate achievement of learning objectives, high-level organizational structure and scope of training content (e.g., content outlines, sequence)
Engage/collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs to determine appropriate training content (e.g., products, processes,tools, skills needed)
Develop, document, and communicate project plans for design/development of identified solutions (e.g., in-scope/out-of scope elements, timeframes, resources,roles/responsibilities, priorities, feasibility analyses, risks/assumptions)
Identify/incorporate appropriate learning activities/exercises/ principles of adult learning and training best practices to create effective and innovative training design and appropriate learning activities/exercises needed to enable learners to achieve learning objectives (e.g., delivery timeframes, durations, techniques)
Obtain stakeholder approval/sign-off of training designs
TDD_Develop Training Solutions Follow a rapid design/development model (when applicable) to develop appropriate learning activities based on training designs and learning objectives
Leverage/modify existing training solutions, process and job aid documentations, and SME provided media/ content to meet development needs
Develop learning assessments for use before or during training delivery and tools/resources for evaluating/measuring post-training learning effectiveness (e.g., scenarios, case studies, knowledge checks, assessments, performance exams, surveys, focus groups, etc.)
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of appropriate tools and resources used to develop training content (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, MS Office Suite, SnagIt, LMS, video development)
Obtain stakeholder and SME approval/sign-off of training materials (following review cycles), and make needed revisions based on stakeholder feedback
TDD_Implement Training Solutions Publish, test, and upload files to appropriate delivery locations (e.g., LMS, SharePoint)/ conduct content tests and/or training pilots to identify specific issues that needed to be addressed prior to delivery
Follow course communication process for the notivication of assignments to staff and leadership
Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to prepare trainers for delivery of training solutions and ensure/validate trainer readiness when applicable
Monitor ongoing training and address issues as they arise during delivery/Respond to ongoing feedback from participants and make appropriate adjustments to training deliverables/ troublshoot when/ where needed
TDD_Measure and Evaluate Training Effectiveness Ensure that post-training evaluation processes are properly implemented (e.g., activate system tools, conduct focus Group/interviews, and distribute surveys)
Generate/analyze reports on training processes/outcomes, and distribute to appropriate audiences (e.g., LMS utilization)
Monitor and analyze training metrics/data/trends, and identify areas needing attention to enhance learning effectiveness
Collaborate with trainers and business partners to identify strengths and areas for improvement in training solutions, and appropriate steps to take toimprove training effectiveness (e.g., content, activities, materials, delivery methods)
Identify and incorporate needed changes to learning solutions (e.g., processes, procedures, materials, techniques, curricula) basedon measurement/evaluation results
This position is located in Golden Valley, MN

Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or HS Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience.

3 years of experience as an Instructional Designer with E-Learning knowledge

LMS experience preferred
Claims, Insurance, and/or medical background a plus.

Ability to deal with Abiguity (write content on topics you are not the expert, leverage development and escalation process(s), SMEs, process documents etc. for content and media)
Agility and organization ( ability to multi task/ wear multiple hats (leverage existin processess to manage end to end lifecycle of multiple procects/ customers at a time)
Flexibility we support teams from India to California
Experience with Learning Management Systems, project management, and design/ development for multiple delivery methods (e.g.E-Learning, WebEx, Classroom) desired.
