Systems Administrator at Minneapolis

Job Description

Job Classification: Direct Hire Provide support to System users on all company supported applications. Troubleshoot computer and connectivity problems, determine source and advise on appropriate action. Assist in application and project based work.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES1. First point of contact for questions and answers for supported systems and applications.2. Investigate user issues, identify their source, determine solutions, test and implement solution.3. Conduct/Manage daily system activities.4. Assist in the installation of new equipment and software.5. Assist in troubleshooting software, hardware and network issues.6. Assist in the maintenance of personal computers, printers, software and application development including installation and upgrades.7. Assist contractors in the diagnosis of PC errors and technical support.8. Develop and provide training for system users.9. Establish and manage user profiles.10. Document problems and resolutions for future reference. 11. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.12. Other duties as assigned. ADDITIONAL/FUTURE RESPONSIBLITIES1. Maintain site licenses for department/organization.2. Manage hardware documentation.3. Oversee installation of software/hardware.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1. Basic reading, writing and math skills. 2. Ability to identify and develop solutions and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems. 3. Ability to develop and write systems and applications documentation and guides for users.4. Ability to provide a range of systems training and/or support for users.5. Organization skills and ability to establish priorities. 6. Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with system users and consultants on issue definition and resolution.7. Ability to learn and support new systems and applications. 8. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work to support the system and system user needs.
