Digital Marketing Specialist at Saint Paul

Job Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for website design and maintenance from both a creative and technical standpoint, with the goal of producing a website that furthers sales and promotes the GovDelivery brand.

This person will also work on email campaigns, content development, multi-media assets, write blog posts and assist with social media campaigns. S/he must be a creative thinker with a positive attitude who stays ahead of current web design, SEO and interactive marketing trends and best practices.

  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Manager to manage the pipeline of email campaigns
  • Analyze existing site, content, multimedia and overall functionality and make recommendations for improvement
  • Continually explore opportunities to enhance, improve and expand website, user experience and digital content use
  • Manage internal deadlines for email campaigns and communicate with business stakeholders to ensure project completion
  • Provide and implement recommendations for continual improvement of outbound email campaign process
  • Develop forms and landing pages to correspond to email campaigns, events, webinars and white papers
  • Keep in front of emerging online channels and techniques; influence development of marketing team digital strategy
  • Understand and incorporate brand and identity in site/microsite designs, email campaigns and supporting pages
  • Work with Communications Manager, Web Management Specialist and Graphic Designer to ensure concepts / copy / offers align with objectives
  • QA emails, website, brochures, white papers and landing pages to ensure content is accurate
  • Build new email templates as needed
  • Provide reporting and analytics of digital properties and recommend improvements, enhancements and testing strategies for the future


What we want in you

  • 2+ years in a creative, marketing or web-related role
  • Strong UI/interface skills including working knowledge of best practices for web and email campaigns
  • Web production and visual design skills
  • Experience with PHP, JavaScript (jQuery), HTML5, CSS3, Web server and database (SQL) understanding, WordPress and HTML for email design
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (Expression Engine), Marketing Automation Platform (Eloqua), web Content Personalization Platform (Get Smart Content), Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce.com), and webinar system (WebEx) desired
  • Proven capabilities in SEO, web analytics
  • Knowledge in latest versions of industry standard web design tools and coding semantic, standards-compliant XHTML/ CSS
  • Understanding of the principles of content marketing and experience with B2B sales a plus
  • Knowledge in Adobe Suite (including Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dream Weaver)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for nurturing, motivating and inspiring others
  • Excellent project management and organization skills
  • Impressive track records of leading and coordinating projects within cross-functional teams
  • Excitement for managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience


Compensation

The compensation package will be tailored to the candidate commensurate with candidates experience and skills. Compensation will include base salary and performance-based incentives.
