Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota for more than three decades, partnered with Insight Imaging in 2012 to create one of the nation’s largest radiology providers for fixed site and mobile diagnostic imaging and interventional services. Together we have 116 retail imaging centers, 128 mobile units and operate in more than thirty states. Our organization will serve nearly a million patients in 2013, offering a wide range of screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures that complement each community’s needs, in collaboration with radiologists, healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems.
We are seeking a Part Time Registration Specialist for our St Louis Park, MN Center. This position will be Monday, Wednesday, and e/o Friday 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
Under the direction of the Office Supervisor, provides services to patients and referring professionals by cheerfully greeting and registering patients along with performing other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creates a positive experience for every customer, every day by believing in and practicing the CDI Experience
• Greets and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services; register demographic information and process payment plans and copays with patients
• Pre-certifies all exams with patient’s insurance company
• Waivers-knowledge of insurance carriers for example; Medicare, and procedures that require waivers and obtaining authorization if needed prior to appointment. Responsible to have the patient sign, or explain to the patient, and to forward the waiver to the business office for processing
• Follows-up on any un read exams
• Handles “release of information" requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following CDI guidelines
• Supports technologists in order to ensure highest patient satisfaction. Act as liaison between technologists and the patients waiting for exams. Must relay messages regarding scanner status and other clinic information
• Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians
• Fields calls appropriately for center associates
• Arranges transportation and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate
• Maintains front office lobby area such as straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies, and general office clean up
• Maintains the supply of patient information sheets

• Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum – high school graduate
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Desire to work within a team environment
• Must be able to speak English
• Medical terminology and office background preferred
• Able to operate computer terminal
• Ability to type 50 wpm
