As a Senior Merchant with Navitor, you will have the responsibility to provide service and maintain a good working relationship with retailers. The goal of the Senior Merchant is to help both the retailer and the manufacturer maximize sales and increase sales volume.


The Merchant will also provide in-depth analysis and recommendations on promotional effectiveness and sales strategies for assigned accounts, and participate in the planning and execution of merchandising, training, and web improvement initiatives. This is an excellent position for the right candidate who aspires to be a National Account Manager or Marketing/Merchandising Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Identify and communicate sales trending and program opportunities.
  • Track and report promotion performance and effectiveness.
  • Make recommendations on sales and merchandising strategies.
  • Engage in issue resolution escalations as needed.
  • At the request of management or own initiative, identify and conduct appropriate situational analysis of in-depth projects.
  • Work closely with creative support team to execute merchandising projects.
  • Assist with or prepare store communications, presentations, guides, etc. as needed.
  • Proofing of web pages and store collateral materials.
  • Perform additional duties and other support as required or assigned.
  • Travel as required.


Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Microsoft Access and other MS Office Application experience for current versions
  • Demonstrated skills in spreadsheet and other computer applications used in reporting and analysis, with emphasis in Excel and Access
  • Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Technical writing skills a plus
  • Comfortable in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
