The Export group in Minneapolis, MN has an opportunity for a Merchandiser Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting with accounting responsibilities to ensure prompt payment of invoices and providing oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, freight analysis, freight register and other miscellaneous reports on a daily/weekly basis.

Principle Accountabilities include:

Maintaining an organized filing system which includes invoices, contracts, reports and payment receipts.

Providing customer support, answering merchandiser lines during their absence, and providing accurate and timely logistic support.

Communicating business position and miscellaneous adjustments with merchandiser.

Collaborating with the merchant at month end in submitting the final P&L.

Inventory reconciliation and daily maintenance

Collecting information from suppliers to be uploaded into the transportation system.

Communicating to USDA and independent labs to obtain proper certification for product loaded.

Required:

2+ years of office experience

Excellent customer-service focus

Strong communication and listening skills

Ability to do repetitive tasks

Desired:

Knowledge of A/R and A/P maintenance
