This position will provide project leadership for the Institutional Food Service Kitchen Specialty RD&E team supporting the $450M business. The role requires maintaining a strong relationship with Institutional team members (finance, marketing sales and training) to deliver a comprehensive food safety strategy, including development of a strong innovation pipeline with global reach. The main products in this portfolio include kitchen specialty sanitizers, produce treatments, degreasers, tile floor cleaners, hand hygiene, manual ware washing detergents and presoaks. The successful candidate will be positive and energetic as they lead diverse project teams and technical staff as well as collaborative interaction with corporate RD&E shared resources. Main Responsibilities:

Maintain employee safety standards including 6S lab standards.

Provide strong leadership and drive communication and connectivity with anchor technology teams, cross divisional technology areas and global teams.

Lead product development projects to deliver a portfolio of new customer solutions including new chemistry, equipment and technology programs.

Lead the Phase 0/1 Ideation Process with Marketing partner and ensure new concepts are prioritized and tied to customer insights. Identify customers unmet needs and develop proactive solutions.

Drive execution excellence of Phase 2-5 new product development activities while demonstrating cross-functional and global thinking in planning and coordination of project priorities

Supervise professional and technical employees engaged in planning and conducting experimental and analytical studies.

Represent business to external organizations and customers on critical issues.

Provides expert technical support in the areas of food safety, regulatory needs, product development, supplier involvement, customer and sales training, customer tour presentations, technical bulletins and other product documentation needs.

Job Requirements



Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, or Food Science

8 + years experience in an R&D or process environment.

Proven track record of successful development launches

Strong background in use of design excellence skills

Successful supervisory experiences

Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead technical team and to interact with external customers, suppliers and industry experts
