Job Requirements

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)

2 years full time registered nurse experience within specialty

A valid RN license (American Traveler will assist with obtaining additional travel nurse job state licensure where applicable)

A valid BLS

Specialty related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific registered nurse and travel nurse positions

Proof of right to work in the United States

Pediatrics Registered Nurses assess a patients needs, document the patients symptoms and medical history and provide bedside nursing care to children on the floor. They draw blood, administer medication and give childhood vaccinations. Pediatric travel nurses also assist a pediatrician during a patient examination. Travel nursing jobs in Pediatrics are available in hospitals and outpatient care centers. Additional duties result from further RN specialization, such as pediatric oncology, dermatology or cardiology. Becoming a pediatric RN requires clinical work specializing in pediatric care; work hours vary depending on the healthcare facility.
