We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Technical Analyst in our Minneapolis, MN office. This position will support Aon Benfield Inpoint.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

• Analyze data and understand complex application code, i.e., SQL
  
• Develop or enhance existing databases to support client deliverables (Access)
  
• Analyze, document and develop adhoc and custom applications or reports for client teams using multiple platforms including Access, SQL and .Net
  
• Provide technical support for client teams to help identify issues and provide solutions to ensure client expectations are met
  
• May assist with analyzing and managing data conversions during business transition to ensure accuracy

ACCOUNTS

• Work with Account Executives and other account team members on assigned accounts to provide clients with exceptional service
  
• Analyze, interpret reinsurance contracts and record premium and loss transactions ensuring data integrity and accurate reinsurance reporting
  
• Perform premium and loss accounting functions in support of financial close

• Coordinate the collection and disbursement of open balances
  
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation, which supports the work accomplished on each transaction and provides necessary audit trails
  
• Participate in identifying issues, and recommend feasible solutions
  
• Communicate with external parties on account specific topics, as needed
  
• Communicate account status to account leader on a regular basis
  
• Use knowledge of the business and the industry to analyze information for accuracy and completeness
  
• Adhere to established deadlines
  
• Write reports and business correspondence in a clear, concise manner
  
• Utilize computer systems to extract data to assist in the performance of assigned responsibilities
  
• Actively participate in developing skills to enhance role specific expertise
  
• Perform other duties, as assigned

GENERAL

• Mentor and provide training to team members
  
• May perform work in client offices on a short or long term basis
  
• Maintain accurate record of time allocation in time tracking application
  
• Perform special projects as assigned by the leadership team or Account Executives
  
• May provide feedback on team member performance
  
• Perform other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or equivalent experience
  
• Prefer a minimum of 2 3 years business experience
  
• Knowledge of database architecture including experience in writing queries and reports
  
• Knowledge of Access, SQL, .net, Sharepoint preferred
  
• Experience with data warehouse environments preferred
  
• Experience in researching, analyzing and correcting data issues in a controlled, high quality environment
  
• Experience in creating reports to meet customer needs
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent listening skills
  
• Analytical skills and the ability to think creatively and strategically
  
• Accuracy, thoroughness, and strong attention to detail
  
• Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team to deliver results
  
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
  
• Results oriented, self-motivated team player with the ability to take initiative and produce results independently or in a team environment
  
• Accuracy, thoroughness, and strong attention to detail
  
• Ability to travel, as needed
