We are currently searching for a talented SQL Server DBA.

 This position will work in our Corporate Office located in Plymouth, MN.

JOB SUMMARY:

In this position, you will be responsible for the development, production and maintenance of all SQL Server environments while ensuring integrity and security. You will assist development teams with best practices and code optimization as needed.  This position also reviews current processes in place and works to find technical alternatives that will better serve the business.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Configure and manage database backups, restores, and migrations on primary servers and across servers within a project, including various forms of database replication to provide high availability. Participate in the development and testing of disaster plans and security processes.
• Work within SQL to identify and solve challenging problems within a data warehouse environment, CRM, and other environments.
• Work within large data structures to simply complex processes and ETLs to improve performance.
• Review configuration of existing SQL Servers for performance and recommend optimal settings. Plan SQL Server, and Server upgrades as needed. Design most optimal upgrade path.
• Work with internal BAs and business group to help define project requirements and solutions for business needs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• MS Certification preferred
• Good understanding of the underlying operating systems (Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003 and Unix)
• 5+ years of experience working with MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012
• Demonstrated experience in analysis and presentation of data
• Experience in data warehouse and relational database design preferred
• Experience in designing SQL Server stored procedures, views and SQL queries preferred
• Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) preferred
