Job Description



Spartan Staffing, a TrueBlue company, has an opening for an Account Manager in Marshall, MN.

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers. This is achieved through utilizing a consultative sales approach, developing premium level accounts and ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention by working closely with the operations team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sales Orientation - Creates, coordinates and implements sales plans to achieve week-over-week revenue growth. Develops sales territory through cold/warm calling, planned appointments and other proven methods. Travels throughout territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.
  • Service Orientation- Ensures operations team understands the requests/requirements of the customer/job to appropriately place our assignment employees. Frequently visits existing and potential customers.
  • Maintain and Develop Accounts- Retain customer accounts and protect the interest of Spartan by maintaining a high level of communication and customer satisfaction. Proactively keeps customers in the range of "highly satisfied". Grow accounts and transition customers from utilizing competitors.
  • Strategic Planning- Searches for opportunities to be creative, grow and improve the branch business. Actively participates in local business community and events. Works in partnership with other TrueBlue Brands when applicable to achieve or maintain a dominant position in markets.
  • Safety - Works with Operations to create and reinforce a culture in the branch that places an emphasis on worker safety being #1. Responsible for taking a proactive stance in the prevention of worker accidents.


Successful Account Manager Skills and Characteristics:
  • 2 years outside, business-to-business sales experience with demonstrated success
  • Knowledge of staffing industry preferred.
  • Prior experience with high level of sales activity, including face-to-face cold calling and appointments.
  • Understanding of basic consultative sales process.
  • Experience building sales territories as opposed to inheriting established markets.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and ability to persuade an audience.
