Job Title: Reservation Specialist
Department: Reservation Center
Reports To: Reservation Manager
FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt
Hours:  3rd Shift: 10:30pm-7:00am (5 days a week Sunday- Saturday)
Summary:
The Reservation Specialist must enjoy customer service, handling incoming and outgoing calls. He or she must have the ability to use various computer programs; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet. They must project a professional image through phone interaction. They need to be able to troubleshoot problems and provide efficient and accurate answers to our client’s inquiries. This position also requires handling administrative duties such as faxing, copying, filing, and compiling research.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Handles outbound and inbound calls from hotel and crew scheduling.
- Handles incoming requests from airline and rail lodging customers by email or fax and managing their inquiries or requests.
- Provides individualized customer service through a high standard of professionalism.
- Obtains and evaluates all relevant data to handle complaints and inquiries.
- Identifies, researches, and resolves customer issues.
- Recommends and implements new and improved procedures to enhance and expedite work.
Job Requirements
Requirements- Knowledge of Sabre system preferred.
- Hotel, crew scheduling and/or airline experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent PC skills with a typing speed of at least 25 wpm and strong Internet navigation skills.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service. .
- Excellent telephone voice in terms of tone, clarity, pronunciation, and proper use of grammar.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED Certificate is required. Some college education is preferred but not required. Some customer service or call center experience is preferred but not required.
