Position Description:
The primary responsibility for this position is to deliver business objectives through assigned projects while maintaining time, scope, quality, and budget. The Visual Merchandise Project Supervisor works with the Visual Merchandising Process Manager and project owner to create project plans and facilitate their execution with a cross-functional team. This position facilitates the project, manages risks, escalates issues from project teams and raises visibility to financial risks.
This position builds strong cross-functional and collaborative relationships with business partners to fully understand their strategies and needs and to assure direction and clarity of assigned projects. This position simultaneously manages multiple processes and projects and communicates effectively to multiple levels of the organization.
This position is focused extensively on processes and projects impacting the physical environment of stores. This position provides analysis and design guidance on a project by project basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Schedule and track project status and resource effectiveness. Drive project outcomes while maintaining Time, Scope, Resources, & Quality.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Make formal and informal presentations to small and large groups on strategies and programs and provide brief, easy to understand findings and recommendations.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders across functions and levels to achieve business objectives and drive change. Understand the interrelationships between different parts of the organization and develop, encourage and leverage synergies with other work groups.
Work with Visual Merchandising Process Manager to develop processes that enable successful and cost effective deployment of projects impact the store environment. Meet overall budget expectations and ensure costs charged to the project are appropriate, complete, catagorized properly and tracked.
Perform in-depth cost/benefit and sales analysis of variations across store formats, as well as the impacts of physical changes to stores. These analyses result in strategic recommendations on future store merchandising.
Travel overnight occasionally.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors or higher degree preferred in Management, Marketing, Finance, Communications, Statistics, or related field.
2-3 years business experience and related project management experience preferred.
Visual Merchandising & Design: 3 years relative work experience in the area of Visual Merchandising, Deployment, Fixture Design, Retail Merchandising or Space Management.
Retail Experience and Knowledge: 3 years in-store retail experience strongly preferred.

Position Requirements:
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Good financial acumen/ ability to manage budgets and understand financial models for internal and external customers. Ability to understand statistical and analytical concepts as well as communicate them to non-technical audiences.
Reasoning/Critical Thinking Ability: Strong analytical skills required. Ability to develop and communicate customer insight findings and recommendations, creating actionable strategies for physical changes to stores.
Management Skills: Demonstrated problem solving capabilities. Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules and budgets. Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects in varying degrees of implementation.
Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively in a collaborative manner. Ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across functions in order to achieve business objectives and drive change. Experience in leading cross-functional teams in the accomplishment of following processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (including MS Project and MS Powerpoint) required. MS Access and Excel tools will be used extensively. This person also needs the ability to learn software tools such as Floor Planning and Space Planning.
