Job Description

Job Classification: Contract As an Electrical Engineer, you will design one of a kind electrical and process controls systems for new and existing process equipment and ancillary systems. You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites to participate in system commissioning. Position activities will include:-Coordination of schedules and budgets with Project Managers-Design of electrical control panels, motor control panels and process control systems-Coordination and supervision of control panel fabrication and electrical installation activities -Assisting with the development and assembly of Operations and Maintenance Manuals-Effective and timely correspondence with customers -Working with colleagues and vendors to ensure all electrical equipment and processes are in alignment with project specifications Work Environment: This person will be doing some estimating, meeting with contractors, and evaluating bids. They will have responsibility to organize the electrical designers on the project. This person will have project management responsibilities for the electrical group but will work under a project manager that is managing both the electrical and mechanical groups on the project. This person will be the technical go to person for the Electrical Engineering group. They will also be working with the automation group which is made up of 6-7 people. Qualifications: Must Haves:-5+ years of Electrical Engineering work experience.-Open to traveling up to 25% domestically for 5-10 days at a time for installations- Occasional international travel may be required but some years there wont be any. -Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline-Familiarity with technical process and equipment design -Team player who is focused on both personal performance and Company success -Possess excellent English language skills, both written and verbal -Experience in process controls and process plant installations
