Welder II - 2nd Shift

 

Department: Fabrication

Reports To: Fabrication Manager

Supervision Given: None

Exemption Status: Non - Exempt

Education: 1 Year welding program preferred but not required

Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience

Job Objective: Complete all welding and related tasks to Brenton standards.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Set up and run all required welding and cutting process proficiently, with no supervision.
• Be able to design and build fixtures.
• Complete knowledge of weld symbols.
• Familiar with machining processes.
• Conforms to requirements on a consistent basis in all welding, cutting, and finishing processes, and make sure other employees do so as well.
• Accepts and completes jobs in a reasonable amount of time.
• Capable of reading and understanding all blue-prints.
• Capable of welding machine frames and piece parts proficiently.
• Able to quote hours on jobs and maintain schedule.
• Follow safety standards.
• Make sure employees have proper tooling and that is maintained properly.
• Knowledge of equipment and how to repair it when needed.
• Keep up to date on new techniques and processes.
• Support world class check-out process.
• Other tasks as requested by supervisor.
