The Clinical Operations Manager is a managerial/leadership position for an experienced RN.   This role  is responsible for the oversight of the daily operations of nursing and administrative staff who perform remote patient monitoring services.  The key objective of this role is to  ensure the economical and efficient performance of nursing and administrative staff who are contacting patients monitored with Cardiocom devices.  This role functions as the key account contact for clients utilizing our remote nurse monitoring services and is responsible for review and delivery of status reports to customers. The strong candidate will have supervisory experience as well as  knowledge and nursing experience in cardiac care.

The Clinical Operations Manager reports to the Director of Client Service Operations.

 

 

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day to day operations of the Clinical Remote Patient Monitoring Team.  Incumbent will be trained to handle daily RN functions and will occasionally perform these duties to respond to client needs or staff absence.
  • Responsible for the direction of RN supervisors who provide daily direction to remote monitoring programs.  Oversee nursing  and administrative staff coverage.
  • Responsible for recruitment and training process for new employees. 
  • Develop performance standards to meet customer outcome requirements.  Monitor staff performance to established standards. 
  • Prepare and review status reports for clients.  Forward monthly reports to clients as agreed upon.
  • Primary account contact for all clients.
  • Maintenance and creation of policy and procedures.
  • Identification of areas requiring process improvement and implementing resolution plans.
  • Complete performance reviews. Set training objectives for staff members and monitor performance. Assess and maintain competencies of all nursing staff.
  • Other projects as requested and assigned by the Director of Clinical Services Operations.
  • Review best practices and implement into workflow.
  • Ongoing process improvement and clinical projects.
  • Obtain and meet all standards for national certification such as NCQA (National Committee of Quality Assurance) or URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission).
  • Communicate with Management Team regarding program status of clients.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred, RN required

Experience: Two or more years of Operations (back office) in a supervisory or management role required. Experience working in a remote patient monitoring capacity preferred. Experience in a home health care or health plan environment preferred. Nursing experience including cardiac care required.

Other:

  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Advanced competency in computer skills such as word processing, spreadsheets and e-mail (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook).
  • Proficient typing skills (minimum 40 words per minute). Appropriate and professional grammar and correct spelling is expected and essential.
