The worlds leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Control Center Operator (CCO). In this postion, youwill monitor intelligence, drive a patrol vehicle, confront trespassers, and respond to security alerts, weather alerts, and natural disaster alerts, from various sources provided by the client. You will determine the potential impact to the client and alert appropriate (pre-designated) client personnel as well as field calls from the clients locations globally requiring assistance as well as reporting incidents and initiating the notification process as required. Youwill also document all activity to include keeping records and disseminating information to appropriate personnel, utilize closed circuit television and remote monitoring devices, monitor access control, alarms, news wires, and other client specified technologies to accomplish this mission.

- Alarm monitoring and response; sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Access control; permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
- Customer service; provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Report writing; investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
- Provide 24 hour surveillance of the facilities mechanical, security and fire protection systems and initiate action response as needed
- Log mechanical equipment, which includes computer rooms, chillers, boilers, coolers and freezers
- Maintain and log equipment information of miscellaneous events scheduled
- Attend and communicate regarding after hours emergencies
- Receive calls from the clients locations globally needing assistance or reporting incidents and managing the notification process
Job Requirements
Education, Licenses and Certifications Required
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
- If previously employed, must possess meaningful and verifiable work history
Skills Required
- Must be able to accurately type 40 words per minute
- Must be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and / or console monitors
- Must have effective oral and written communication
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
- Must be able to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Must be able to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Must be able to research, investigate, andcompile information
- Must be able to write informatively, clearly and accurately
- Must be able to mediate conflict with tact anddiplomacy
Other
- Must be at least 20 years old or the minimum age required by the State
- Must be able to work flexible schedules
- Must bea U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
- Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
- Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military
- Upon acceptance of a job offer, must be able to pass the following:
- MMPI - Psychological testing, if armed or otherwise required
- Physical exam, if armed or required by client contract
