JOB SUMMARY: Perform petroleum repairs and maintenance at corporate Holiday Stationstore locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Inspect, repair and maintain entire station store petroleum system including
- Petroleum dispensers, dispenser sumps, submersible pumps and sumps, vapor recovery systems, fills and spill containment units, vent lines, pipes and caps, dispensers, pans, hoses, nozzles, swivels, retractors and break-a-ways. Make repairs as ability allows or as directed.
- Automatic tank gauging systems including setting up, checking programs with-in the unit and sensor functionality when applicable
- Conduct petroleum repairs at Holiday stationstores. Technician will be dispatched via Work Oasis or the help desk and communicate to stores, supervisor, help desk personal and outside vendors as needed.
- Maneuver 100lb sump covers and handle (45 lbs.) gasoline proofer cans
- Complete air compressor repairs and maintenance and review system integrity. Repair as needed.
- Complete Company forms/reports accurately and completely including logs of daily work and store visits.
- Maintain Company tools, equipment, vehicle and an extensive inventory of parts
- Required to carry pager 24 hours per day and be available, as needed, for emergencies.
- Some overnight travel maybe required
- This position is provided a vehicle for job related transportation and uniforms
- Complete and file the necessary paperwork as requested
- Other duties as requested or assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
AUTONOMY/IMPACT OF ERROR:
- Acts independently with general supervision referring only unusual cases to supervisor. Errors may cause significant disruption to store profit, operations or margin. Failure to complete petroleum maintenance timely and correctly could cause compliance issues, penalties or fines up to and including closure of a Stationstore.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Demonstrated knowledge of petroleum equipment maintenance and OSHA regulations
- Must be comfortable using ladders and ascending to elevations of approximately 20 feet high
- Must hold/obtain and maintain state certifications to complete petroleum related work in the states where work is completed.
- Hold Department of Weights and Measures Technician Certifications for states where work is completed.
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Must hold and maintain current certification from the MPCA to allow repairs to existing petroleum systems
- Must hold and maintain tank gauge certification(s) for Veeder Root and/or Incon products
- Training or ongoing training for this position will be provided.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Previous experience regarding petroleum maintenance is required
- Ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of 100 lbs.
- Excellent communications skills required
- Above average computer skills, includes timesheet entry and completing and filing electronic forms.
- Clean driving record
